Regular update

Ok, I've got a lot of shit, yes it is all shit, to cover in this blog, so lets see if I can cram it into one three paragraph thing. The last time I wrote was... well I don't remember when, so we're gonna start from friday. Ok so friday I went out that night to Mike Langella's poker night, which blew because only four of us showed up, but I hear he has held better, so I will be returning. On the ride home through johnston, we went down this wierd road known as Central Avenue. Although we have driven many times on this road, this time, I thought I was going to be raped by a fat farmer, or the car would fly off the road into a bunch of trees. Narrow roads and late nights make those thoughts pop into your head, I can't explain why, although I should know because i want to be some sort of psycologist.

Saturday night, I had to miss hanging out with my friends and go to work at the Bert's gallery. It was the easiest 40 bucks I ever made, and, damn, did I need it. Most of that night was spent watching trash cans, bar backing, arguing over the paintings true meanings with Mr. Allen, and watching Brittany fall. So I guess you could say I enjoyed myself. I did hate having to conform to the shirt and tieness though. I know I looked damn good, but it was at the expense of my comfort.

Sunday, I went to my cousins graduation party and it was kinda boring.

The Weekend thus far

OK, so including friday, I have done nothing much this weekend. I skipped out on semi last night because it's stupid. It's a waste of $25 dollars to sit and listen to music. The only reason semi would have been fun is that we had a limo for after the dance and all the guys went out to federal hill, and then on to Joe's house.

Friday was friday the 13th, but luckily the only bad luck I was struck with was my weedwacker finally crapping out on my. It was the worst two stroke weedwacker you could think of. It never started, was severly underpowered, and it always used to just randomly stall. Now that it's dead I can hit up my mom for a new one.

The only other real exciting thing that happened was when I was talkign to Domenic (suds) about how aliens are controlling us and the government is a lie and all that. I don't really know how we reasoned this, but it's the truth.

I spent my free time reviewing my summer plans, and it appears that I found several ways to make my summer 10 times more hectic than my school year. I was planning on teaching at Edgewood Sailing School this year, but they chose to hire Will Bill instead, so I am now a dock hand at the club. I also landed a job as the official driver of my uncles 1976 Porsche 911 3.0 carrera (the only Porsche ever completely assembled in Germany until the Cayanne) because my aunt does not not know how to opperate a stick shift well. My Uncle Steve likes to drive his boat back and forth to Block Island, but he'd never let my aunt do it alone because she would be scared and probably break something. So I have been assigned the task of driving the Porsche down to the ferry landing at Pt. judith, taking the car over via ferry, leaving the car in their spot at Champlin's, and then going to hang out on the boat for as long as it is docked in BI. My third job is working the sound/recoding booth for my mom's boyfreind's, justin, shows over the summer. I get paid $50 a day. I also want to find time (somewhere in between all of this) to go to the Oasis concert in July, and get tickets to go see the premier of the New Dispatch movie. It is entitled "The Last Dispatch," but it's totally different than the All Points Bulletin CD/DVD set, The new movie is a documentary about the band's history and the twelve final days leading up to the biggest indie rock movement in history. 110,000 STRONG!!! The movie is set to open on the aniversary of the concert, July 31. The night before there is an Elias fund raiser, but I don't think I can attend that.

SM57's rule

Yeah, so today I reminded my mom that she owed me like 100 dollars and I asked her if she would just take my to guitar center and buy me a new mic instead of paying me back. Some recomended that I should try out the SM57, since i was looking for something low priced and efficient, and it was pure bliss.

So I get my new mic home, safe and away from all of the rain and open this new sucker up in my room. I plugged it in to the recorder and laid down the acoustic riffs for "Got Me Wrong" by Alice in Chains and "Hey...Hey..." by Dispatch, and then the recorder goes, "POP" because I ran out of room on the tapes. I rummaged through the rest of my tapes and I only had like thirty seconds left on each of the tapes. Everyone knows you cant flip the tape and record because the whole time you can hear the tracks on the other side playing in reverse.

Sadly I began to put my microphone away when I realized that I could hook it up to my amp. I plugged in the SM57 and then began singing and playing "Day Tripper" by the Beatles with the reverb on (because that's how Lennon played it) and it makes my voice get all reverbed out. Then my mom came up to my room and told me to stop because i was giving her a headache. So I put my microphone away.

The New Dispatch Movie

Ok, so I'm a shitty Dispatch representative, but today I have something cool to tell the world about. The New Dispatch Movie. Thats right. You heard it hear folks. Opening night is at the Summerville theater on 7/29, 7/30 is an Elias fund raiser, and then 7/31 is the aniversary and the opening to the public of the new Dispatch Movie. check out the trailer:
http://dispatchmusic.com/TLDdocumentary/trailer.html

I think it's time to plan a road trip. Anyone who wants in for the movie opening, leave me a comment, call, instant message, or just talk to me. I'm going to e-mail back Shane, she is the head representative and knows all the facts, to see where exactly it is going to be held and how I can score some tickets. But I gotta know if you want in soon because I don't know how many tickets I can get.

Thursday Night

Yeah, so, I'm out of school again. My sickness had plagued me once more. I miss school, sort of. Not like school itself, but the people there. For instance I miss my friends, making fun of mr. Johnston, and hanging out with mr. Howlett talking about service projects and RIBS.

So I've been hanging out, using the Mac and loving it. When I tried to install Sun Microsystems Openoffice.org software, it told me that I needed an X11 driver? does anyone know where I can get one. Apple's sight keeps telling me to upgrade to 10.4 Tiger, but guess what... I dont have that kinda cash. If you have X11 or windows you should try it out: www.openoffice.org

Being sick and outta school does have it's disadvantages. Today I attempted to do the homework that Mom had got from my school and the geometry homework is so ass hard. If I had been in school maybe I would have some idea of whats going on and maybe I could go for extra help and save my grade.

Day 3

OK, so today I took out of school becase I am sick. It's cool beinbg out and all, but I dont have the car, so I'm stuck with shitty food and nothing to do. I am able to use my Mac because Justin is out for a couple of hours. That guy is a computer nazi. If he knew abiut my iBook he'd get pissed off because I didn't buy it with him and because it's used. Everyone knows that the snow iBooks and the Pismo powerbooks are argueably the best apple portibles ever buikt, and guess what, i bought the snow iBook. But whatever, i guess I'll jus dealk with it.

So being sick, yeah, it blows. I'm drinking lots of fluids and getting some bed rest. So whatever. At least I'm not in school.

Yesterday I hung out at the warwick rotary's begining of spring cook off, where i managed the moon walk with Jon and Justin. Later we set up the mini golf. It sucked, but whatever.
